Shadow of the Monk

I have been through this lane,
I have seen light.
Shines bright before me,
But casts a shadow behind.

Clear path or clear mind,
What is the clarity that you need to find?
Comprehend your thoughts cos they show you,
That it’s finding self and not the clarity u need.

Premise, you tumbled down the ladder,
It’s either a slippage or a breakage.
You think you did right but,
Careless steps or broken ladder
Unchecked, show you the place behind.

Mistakes you correct, move to the new,
Reach out for the ball cos it won’t come,
You get there alright, but another slip-up you do.
Reach out, get it, get up and move.

Message I told, you did learn,
Only mistakes teach you, cos that’s when you burn.
I thought I showed you path cos I am light,
You went ahead and showed me the dark sight.

Did I give you clarity? Burnt by the premise.
Learnt by the mistakes, you got your right
Conclusions told me the lessons
I gave light and showed the path,
And the dark matter stands beside.

Being mindful got you there,
Light gives clarity to move everywhere,
When I moved ahead, you came before me,
I realized I am no light but dark,
Cos you were the shadow of the monk.
